Assessment
In this section you will find a range of resources to help you explore Assessment Feedback practices in Higher Education. The first resource is based on the UON Exploring Feedback workshop, the resources are presented here as a self-study opportunity. It aims to develop your teaching and use of feedback in the following ways:
- How can I ensure that my feedback is useful to enhance students’ learning?
- How do I ensure I’m using the right methods of feedback, balancing the time it takes me with the learning benefit?
- How can I help my students to make better use of feedback and feedforward?
Through engaging with these resources you will:
- Explore key principles of effective feedback, using findings from educational research as well as your own experience.
- Review examples from your own practice to identify these principles in practice, and any next steps you can use to add impact to your feedback.
- Explore different techniques for providing feedback and ensuring that it works as feedforward.
