Support – Tutorials, EAP Workshops
We can help you in person in tutorials, workshops. We will also be developing a range of online resources to help you develop your skills.
Tutorials
We offer International Students one-to-one tutorials in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). The aim of these 30-minute sessions is to work with you to focus on an area of academic writing you have identified. This focus may range from critical reading and note-taking through to key aspects of academic writing, including summarizing and paraphrasing, cohesion and incorporating academic references.

In addition to our one-to-one tutorials, we also offer a series of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Open Workshops, which are open to all International Students. These will focus on a range of topics, including Seminar Participation, Writing Effective Academic Essays, Paraphrasing & Summarising and Effective Academic/Business Presentations.

We offer a range of short taught in-sessional classes designed to help undergraduate international students develop confidence in the use of English. During these 2-hour classes, you will have the opportunity to interact with peers and tutors in a supportive environment where you can ask questions and practise these skills. These short 6-week courses will focus on speaking, reading, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation skills.
