I want to understand what my role as a Personal Academic Tutor is under the Integrated Learner Support process, and how the different support services can complement each other.

I would like to share and exchange ideas for planning my work with PAT students across the year, including through group sessions.  

How can I work with the information available through MyEngagement to help my PAT students succeed?

How the Workshop will contribute to Learning Practice

Through this workshop you will:

  • Explore the needs that students have at different stages of their study programme, and the pressures they experience that can affect their work 
  • Discuss with others the ways in which PATs can help to meet student needs, and the contribution that other support services can make
  • Engage in practical activities to think about planning appropriate student support throughout the year
  • Discuss the information available through MyEngagement and how you can make use of this to support student where they are having difficulties.

All of this will be approaches with particular consideration of the challenges and opportunities of providing effective support to PAT students online or through a mix of online or face-to-face.
