Learning and Teaching Awards
Our awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence in learning and teaching at the University of Northampton.
Any member of staff can nominate themselves or a colleague in one of the following categories:
Excellence in Assessment and Feedback
Nominations might include:
Nominations might include:
- Work carried out to improve student experience of assessment.
- Innovation in assessment and feedback.
- Development of authentic and/or inclusive assessments.
Excellence in Inclusion and Belonging
Nominations might include:
- Work to close the Awarding Gaps
- Embedding inclusion into the curriculum and student support
- Increasing students’ sense of belonging.
Excellence in Pedagogical Innovation
Nominations to include:
- Colleagues who have designed and taught in an innovative way. Could be small or larger scale.
There is also a fourth category: “Rising Star” which will be awarded by the Dean or Director.
The winners are decided locally from each Faculty, Professional Services and Partner Institutions and then winners are considered for the institutional award by our panel and awarded during our Celebration Afternoon Tea each summer.
