We are based at the Waterside Campus in the Research and Enterprise Office on the ground floor of the Senate building. Our small but perfectly formed team can offer support on a range of services and consists of the following team members.

Paul Bramble – Research and Innovation Funding Support Manager

Paul supports the development and delivery of competitive research funding applications and partnership opportunities. He also advises on intellectual property, supports research-related contracts and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and other University policies and procedures. Paul also manages the Researcher Development Programme (enhanced) for mid-career and senior researchers. Email or call extension 2843.

Sharon Lewis – Research Support and Bidding Officer

Sharon supports individual researchers to develop research ideas into distinct and fundable projects. She supports the development of relevant documentation for each bid in addition to other administrative duties such as checking project budgets. Sharon also supports academics in maximising the impact of their research in line with the requirements of funding bodies. Email or call extension 2513.

Becca Swinton – Research Support Administrator

Becca provides administrative support to the research support teams and is the first point of contact for research and funding-related enquiries, publicising funding opportunities, collating and monitoring funding activity and developing reports. She also provides PA support to the Dean of Research, Impact, and Innovation. Email or call extension 3925.
