The Research and Innovation Funding Support Service (or just plain RIFS for short) is a cross-University service that can provide support for all manner of funding applications. Whatever kind of funding you are looking to access and whatever kind of project you have in mind, we are here to help. We can be as hands-on as you need, whether you just have a few quick questions or it is your first funding application and you are unsure where to start.  As a central team we are well placed to signpost you to colleagues across the University who may have information you need or could strengthen your bid. We also oversee the internal bidding processes and can make sure that everything is in order before you submit.

As a team, we are responsible for:

• Bidding support – funding searches, bid-writing support and reviewing bids.
• Providing advice on funder’s policy and practice.
• The internal approval process for bids.
• Working with Businesses and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
• Intellectual Property.
• Post-award support.

We have put together this website as a ‘go-to’ place for information about bidding and securing external funding, as well as to give you an idea of how we can help you.
