About the conference

Library and Learning Services (LLS) at the University of Northampton are delighted to announce their third biennial research conference.

Delivered entirely by LLS staff, the conference highlights some of the exciting research projects we have undertaken as the University prepares to move to its brand new campus in 2018.

The physical relocation is just part of the story.  While academic staff grapple with a complete transformation of learning and teaching, the professional services must develop and grow to support students and staff in the new learning environment.

Support for new models of learning is a major theme of this conference, as is the development of services in times of great change.  If your own challenge is to develop your service in line with institutional values and needs, then come and see how we have used research evidence to do exactly this.

Featuring our usual poster competition and, everybody’s favourite, the ‘minute madness’ session, this year’s conference introduces a new parallel session of workshops and discussion groups.  These will all take place in our new venue, the Cottesbrooke Hub – a 150 seat tiered lecture theatre with social learning space and access to breakout rooms.

Please see our conference programme for further details.
