1. UK Circular Plastics Flagship Projects Competition

2. Workshop on circular economy and sustainable procurement models

The Group will be hosting a half-day workshop on the utilisation of circular economy and sutainable procurement models in the spring of 2019. The event will be held at Heatherwood Hospital.  More details to follow.

3. Most don’t support proposed ban on disposable wipes

The majority of Britons (59%) would not support the proposed government ban on disposable wipes, despite 93% of people agreeing that the British public needs more education on the dangers of “fatbergs”, according to new research from Lanes Group plc.

5. Consultation on amendments to the use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment regulations

Defra is undertaking a consultation on the planned approach for transposing EU directive 2017/2012 into UK law. The change will correct some unintended consequences of widening the definition of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) products. In particular, the change will stop the restriction on selling second-hand products and repairing with spare parts.
