Children as Researchers of their Wellbeing through the Arts: A Changemaker Award Event for Year 5 and 6 Participants and Co-Researchers
Led by: Korrin Smith-Whitehouse; Helen Tiplady and Steve Hollingshurst, from the Education Subject Area Date: Wednesday 03.11.21 Time: 13.00 – 14.30 You are invited to this very special event, celebrating the efforts of primary school students who helped the University of Northampton with research on the topic of ‘Wellbeing’.
Researchers at the University of Northampton worked alongside primary school students who attended Northants Music and Performing Arts Trust’s ‘Music for Wellbeing’ sessions, exploring the effect of these workshops on the way children felt, and co-creating tools with the children to help participants reflect on the impact of these workshops.
This event will celebrate their achievements with a Changemaker Award ceremony and presentation summarising the project, followed by an NMPAT body percussion workshop and a tour of the campus.
