TECH4ALL#2

E-cologies of digital learning

Meet the Team

The TECH4ALL#2 team is a continuation of the collaboration established between staff, undergraduate and postgraduate research students in the TECH4All project. To focus on digital literacy as an aspect of learning and teaching was their idea. I take credit for thinking about the notion of e-cologies.

Here is the team!

Cristina Devecchi is a Senior Lecturer in Education. Since joining the University of Northampton in 2009 she has been involved in a number of national, international and European projects in the area of inclusion and higher education. She is interested in how schools, and increasingly, universities, build an inclusive culture and organisation for students and staff. She is co-responsible As Level 8 Lead for PhD admissions and progression in the Faculty of Health, Education and Society and is the Chair of the Business and Education Research Degree Board.

She is excited to be involved with the TECH4All#2 project, allowing for her to help shape an inclusive culture at the University of Northampton, alongside broadening her own research experience outside of her discipline.

Charlotte’s role as a Research Assistant is to support the project by helping with the design of the study, students’ recruitment and participation, data analysis, dissemination and public relations.

Neill Friedman is a Mature Student who has decided to return to full-time education to fulfil a life long ambition to get a BSc in Exercise and Sports Science and to then go on to produce research in this field. Proud to be associated with the TECH4ALL#2 project as this represents both development in my own learning as well as the ability to contributing to work that can go to help others.

Neill’s role and key responsibility as a Research Assistant is to support the project by working with Anthony as communication and dissemination.

Ashlee Lewis-Earl  is an Undergraduate Year 2 Psychology Student at the University of Northampton. I am interested in being involved with TECH4ALL#2 to broaden my knowledge and skills within research. I also feel technology should be inclusive and this project will help us make this more of a reality at the University.

Anthony Stepniak is a PhD student, associate lecturer in media and film and Research Student Officer at the University of Northampton. Anthony’s research area and interest is gender studies, Young Adult fiction and film and notions of power in leadership. Anthony has worked on numerous projects beforehand from looking at the impact of active blended learning in a H.E environment, to Socratic dialogues as a teaching tool at level 4,5 and 6 to a research project for a Heritage Lottery funded documentary on Northampton’s Racecourse. Anthony will be responsible for the marketing and dissemination of the project, ensuring that we maximise participation and raise awareness in relevant sectors.
