During my placement the use of padlets was integrated into a science lesson. The lesson was based around whether the moon landings were real or fake and the conspiracies surrounding it. The children had 4 stations with a range of evidence on which they had to review, gather evidence from and make a conclusion.
The class had a padlet set up at the teachers computer which was connected to the main interactive whiteboard which means all children could see the responses. The children found it really helpful to see the range of thoughts about the landings and used it as a discussion point with their friends.
Using padlets in class are also great for assessment purposes as the teacher was able to see the childrens opinions and their scientific reasoning behind them.
I thought this worked really well!
