We used iMovie to create a trailor for the biblical story of Noah’s Ark.
It is relatively simple to use. It gives you a guide to create your own trailor. You can either get images on the internet, or take your own whilst producing it. You can edit all the captions to say what you wish, but it gives children a nice guide of what to write.
Music is already a part of the movie trailor, but this can be changed if the children so wish.
It is more likely aimed at KS2 children, as it can be quite fiddly, but is simple once you get the hang of it.
The only annoying thing, is the amount of pictures you have to have, which makes it time consuming to gather a wide range of picture (we couldn’t seem to find a way to delete them)
You can upload them to Youtube, so the children can share their trailors with their families.
Our resource fits nicely into the curriculum, through using technology to create a trailor for a religious story. It could be used as an introduction to the story, before the children then learn the whole story in full – it will engage the children straight away.
