This is an opportunity for reflective observation and reviewing of your individual practice and outcome.
Writing an Evaluation
Writing a good evaluation is a involved and challenging task – it is not just something that can be dashed off in minutes. You really need to think carefully about yourself and the work you have produced. Remember – it is often the case that your evaluation carries a grade, which is just as important as your practical work.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
- How do you feel now you are at the end of the module?
- How accurate are those feelings?
- What are you most proud of and why?
- What are you least proud of and why?
- What did you find difficult or frustrating and can you identify the reason for this?
- What did you find easy or fun and can you identify the reason for this?
- What can you learn about yourself and how you work when you think about the two previous questions?
- Do you feel that there are any gaps in your knowledge and how do you plan to rectify this?
- How useful did you find your pre – production (research) work? How did it help you? If It didn’t help you why is this?
- How effective was your time management and planning?
- What are your strongest and weakest points? How can you build on the weakest points and use your strengths to your advantage?
- How do you see the content of this module helping you in the future? How will the skills and knowledge benefit future projects?
- If you did the module again, what would you do differently and improve on?
