DLAB Day 1 – from students in Belgium
Vertical garden Day 1 – Lieze and Andres
On 24.11.2021 we went to the MS Brugge Centrum and started with a presentation about what DLAB is about and what a vertical garden is. In the PowerPoint we explained what DLAB is about, how we can become a changemaker and what a vertical garden is.
When we had finished the presentation, we had a short call with Denmark to talk a bit. We talked about Belgium and Denmark, the school system in both countries and many other things.
After the break we split the pupils in 3 groups to make the vertical garden. First they had to work out a hanging and watering system. After that they cut the bottles and personalized them with drawings and many colours. The last task was to hang up the bottles, fill them with dirt, plant the seeds and make sure the watering system works.
When all this was done, we were ready to take a break and have a call with Spain to show our vertical gardens and again to talk a bit to each other. Everything went well and we hope that the herbs will grow.
