Making a ‘Positive’ Contribution

Dr Liz Gulliford, Associate Professor in Positive Psychology, swam the equivalent distance of the English Channel, recording a total of 22 miles over September 2021 to raise funds for an MS charity in her hometown of Wolverhampton. Liz has always been fond of long-distance swims, clocking up 3km in the local baths aged 9 years and 10 months. She recorded the ‘Channel’ swim at the Morris Centre pool at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
