Even more, awards are flooding into UON. Professional Doctorate student, Audrey Orage, who is also a staff member of the Psychology subject group’s Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) team, was the judges’ winner for the three-minute thesis competition held in Summer 2021. The UoN Judges were Shân Wareing, Kathy Mortimer and Matthew McCormack, with guest judge, John Rose from BBC Northampton. John made the announcement of the winner following the competition on 16 June, netting Audrey the first prize of a £70 gift voucher!
Audrey’s thesis is on ‘Young Males Contemporary Experiences of anxiety. More recently she represented UoN at The East Midlands Doctoral Network (EMDoc) meeting on 15th September, which consists of nine universities that are keen to work collaboratively to share best practices, resources and insights into doctoral research across all disciplines. Well done Audrey!
