The Government has provided a range of advice material and downloadable papers to support schools in implementing the new Key Stage 1 and 2 testing.
A good first port of call is the straight forward video which explains the ch
anges for 2016 and associated terminology such as ‘scaling’. This is quite long at 11 minutes, but is easy to follow and informative; it can also be downloaded as a text based presentation.

There is also a link to explain how the raw tests scores will be ‘scaled’ against a national benchmark score.
