Is your school part of the Derby Teaching School Alliance?

The next HLTA network event is on 10th Nov; this is free to any HLTA whose school is part of the DTSA and at a discounted rate for those with a Link Package, a small charge is made by DTSA if you are not a member.

The network session is open to anyone within or outside the DTSA; please follow the attached link for further information or to book your place.

The session will include the opportunity to network with other HLTAs to discuss current issues associated with their roles and also focus on the over looked draft Teaching Assistant Standards and experiences of ‘life after levels’.
The session will include:
• Update and discussion on current issues associated with HLTA deployment in schools.

• An update on the review of professional teaching assistant standards.
• An opportunity to review the d raft but withheld TA standards and comparison to HLTA standards – how they can apply to your own work and those you may line manage.
• A review of the Government document: Commission on Assessment without level: Final Report.
• A forum to compare and discuss approaches experienced on assessment without levels – please bring some examples of your setting’s approach to assessment and tracking after levels If necessary anonymise these first.
• Analysis of some advice material available associated with assessment
