EM HLTA is one of 4 Regional Providers of Assessment (RPAs) in England and covers the East Midlands districts of: Derby City, Derbyshire, Leicester City, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.
We have been successfully working with HLTA preparation and assessment since it was first developed in 2003 as part of the Government’s pilot and through Phases 1,2 and 3 to its current Phase 4.
The RPA was originally part of a consortium, but now is solely based at the University of Northampton and since 2012 is an active member of the HLTA National Assessment Partnership (HNAP) which ensures that ‘The Regional Providers of Assessment (RPAs) continue to provide rigorous, high quality external assessment and national moderation of candidates against the HLTA Standards now that the government funding for HLTA assessment has ended,’ http://www.hlta.org.uk/.
