Bidding for funding is a competitive process and it is crucial to submit a strong proposal or grant application the first time around. Impact of research

Impact of research has been growing in importance over the past decade with it forming a compulsory part of grant applications for UKRI research councils since 2009. Impact was also included for the first REF in 2014 and therefore forms a key part in how research quality is analysed across universities and how research funding is awarded.
