Exploring the Conceptual Blueprint of Digital Transformation in the Fashion Industry: Insights into Digital Dynamic Capabilities and Digital Strategies

This research study aims to investigate the digital transformation process of business models within the fashion industry, focusing on the employment of digital dynamic capabilities and digital business strategies. The study seeks to evaluate the extent to which firms in the fashion industry employ these capabilities and strategies in response to the ongoing process of digital transformation. By reviewing and synthesizing existing literature and key concepts on digital transformation, the research provides a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Furthermore, it examines the digital maturity levels and transformation extent of fashion firms in the UK and India, specifically exploring the shift from organizational capabilities to digital dynamic capabilities. The research identifies and assesses best digital practices and strategies employed by digital leaders in the UK and investigates the potential for adoption by digital laggards in the Indian fashion industry. Through a recursive learning process, the study develops and proposes a conceptual blueprint of digital transformation, defining digital dynamic capabilities and digital business strategies. The findings of this research will contribute to the understanding of digital transformation in the fashion industry and provide practical insights for firms seeking to navigate this transformative process.
