British Science Week 2019 is coming soon

British Science Week is actually a ’10 day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths’, running from 8th to 17th March.

The theme this year is journeys – why not look at the activity packs for early years, primary and secondary pupils which provide hands-on activities that can be used in the classroom, with clubs or at home? These include links to stories as well as ideas for practical makes and experiments. Click here for the link.

Challenge your pupils to ‘Run with the Ancestors’: an immersive running app with one million years of British history scaled down into a 5k or 10k virtual run – so linking  history, fitness and science in one app produced by Six to Start and sponsored by Eurotunnel.

The website and app are now open for sign ups to the virtual race and will remain open until the end of British Science Week 2019.  It’s completely free but will only be opened for a limited time.

These are just some of the ideas for British Science Week 2019 – your school may well have lots of things already planned, but do give the website a look for downloadable posters and logos.

Have a great time celebrating science, whenever and however you choose to do it!!
