In an article for the TES on 29th June 2016 Colin Harris, head of Warren Park Primary School, wrote that ‘teaching assistants provide the backbone of every school, representing stability, hard work and what is really good about our education system’. Follow the link to read the rest of the article.
He suggested that ‘we all go in tomorrow and tell our TAs how much we treasure them and how vital they are. If every school does, then the ripple effect would be felt across the country. We would also be challenging those who do not appreciate TAs’ worth’.
In these challenging times it is refreshing and heartwarming to be able to focus on what is good in our schools.
