Why not join the international community who value using school grounds as part of the learning environment?
‘In May each year, the International School Grounds Alliance calls on schools around the globe to take their pupils outside to celebrate their grounds. It’s as simple as that. They believe school grounds are very important to children and youth, and shape their experience of the world around them and hope you will take some time during this month—an hour, a day, even a week—to go outside into your grounds with your students to engage in learning, play and other activities,’ says ISGA.
There is a wealth of ideas within the Activity Guide to act as inspiration.
You can also register your school or send examples of your own good practice for inclusion in future packs.
