Government scraps SPAG test at KS1

School’s Minister, Nick Gibb, has decided to ‘remove the requirement on schools to administer the KS1 grammar, punctuation and spelling test for this year only’ following the realisation that it already been published as a test paper in January 2016.

In a statement released on Friday 22nd April 2016, Nick Gibb apologised for the incident and confirmed that teacher assessment would still be submitted. Nick Gibb
