Is your school ready for Science Week?

There is a wealth of material and information available at the British Science website.

Once Science week is over, the resources and activities  will be useful to support curriculum topics across all age groups over the year.

Follow the link and scroll down the page – there are links to activity packs for all age ranges from the British Science Association as well as many more.

While these are promoted for Science Week they will be useful at any time of the year.

The ‘edible eclipse’ is just one idea.

I particularly like the CREST Star resources:

CREST Star is for primary school-aged students (5 – 11 years) and encourages them to solve science, technology, engineering, and maths challenges through practical investigation.  All the activities are available to download for free.

Launched in 2007, CREST Star is used in primary and special educational needs schools across the UK as well as several international schools overseas.

How it works:

CREST Star has three levels, Star (usually 5-7 year olds), SuperStar (usually 7-11 year olds) Megastar (usually 8-12 year olds)

Why not log in and see whether there are resources you could use.
