The National 2015 Outstanding HLTA of the Year award took place on 16th November in London.
Dina Mayes, the East Midlands representative from New College Leicester, attended along with her guest; they enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament prior to the award event.
Presentation to all regional winners were made by Professor Richard Rose, Chairman of HNAP, and Nic Dakin, Shadow Schools’ Minister.
All HLTAs were commended for their dedication and practice with Jill Birch from Barnsley being chosen as the national winner.
The whole event was well received and is due to be reported by SchoolsWeek and wider press.
Do look out for next year’s award in 2016 so that all schools are aware of their opportunities to nominate HLTAs – maybe it will be you next time!!
