DLAB shared at BETT

Presentation at BETT 2020

Dr Helen Caldwell presented work from the DLAB2: Developing Changemakers project at the BETT education technology show at the ExCel Centre in London in January 2020 https://www.bettshow.com/bett-2020-show-highlights.  The DLAB work was shared alongside a similar project undertaken by Mark Frydenberg from Bentley University in Boston, USA, on the use of artificial realities for connecting classrooms. Following the talk, the audience was invited to take part in a research safari around some of the show stands relating to VR and AR, organised by the Technology, Pedagogy and Education Association (TPEA) https://tpea.ac.uk/. This linked the research presentation to educational products and highlighted how they could bring benefits to learners.  You can find out more about the research safaris here  https://tpea.ac.uk/1018-2/  and watch a video here https://youtu.be/ciLPvaG8B48
