Even after a narrow defeat in their only friendly before the season, on-the-day captain Oscar Chapman is still excited for campaign ahead for the Bears.

“We didn’t get the win but it’s a new squad.
“The first half was a great success but we just didn’t keep our structure in the second half.
“We just played into their game.”
After a disappointing season last year, the President was pleased with the performance even after defeat
“It’s a shame we only lost by seven.
“The boys put in all the effort I could have asked for them, I think the scoreline reflects that.
“But we’ve got more to work on.”
Talking about the new players, he is excited for how they will perform this year.
“It’s a new squad too.
“We have a lot of promising players that I can see developing into top performers for the club.”
