Tonight marked the last training session and rugby action for the Bears in 2023.
After a disappointed ending to the 2022/23 season, the last few months have been a rejuvenation of a team that is destined for greater things.
After wins at Cross-Codes and Varsity in the Summer, it showed the team were down but not out as they went into the 2023/24 season.
After ex-President Nick Cherrett moved on, along with Joe Seaman, William Lewis, Sam Lacey, George Phelps, Jacob Jones, Liam Fairey, and Ryan Taafe-Fowle to name a few, the Bears squad looked thin and depleted going into ’24.
However, with the introduction of fresh faces such as Evan Wyatt, Ben Lazenby, Ben Hart, Callum Thom, and Tom Owen, promotion looks more and more likely after every game and the spirit is high again.
With four wins from four and sitting top of the Midlands Division four, 2024 looks to be a year of hope and determination.
