The Bears’ annual charity event took place last night, December 7th.
This year, like every year, the team took part in Movember to raise money and awareness for men’s mental health.
Sam Cowan, charity officer for the club, was extremely happy with how the event went.
He said: “I think the event as a whole was a pretty good success.
“We had close to 100 people come out to support the Bears and our cause.”
When asked how important events like BGT are for Movember, he echoed the foundation’s importance.
“They (Movember) mean so much to us , it’s such a close foundation to our hearts.
“Mens mental health is such an important thing to us as a team, we’re a very close knit bunch of lads so having a team like that where we can talk to each other is really nice.
“It means events like these, we can promote them as we have personal interest in it.”
Winner of the event, Fred Roques, was more than happy with the fact he was asked to perform.
He said: “I thought tonight was fantastic, the cause is absolutely brilliant so I’m happy I stepped in to participate and raise money for it.
He also felt that events like this are really crucial.
“It’s so so important, not just the money raised but the awareness that it creates.
“Mental health is a topic that’s very very close to my heart personally and I think it’s great that we’re making it the bigger picture.”
