“Seek out some retired and old-world spot, far from the madding crowd, and dream away a sunny week among its drowsy lanes – some half-forgotten nook, hidden away by the fairies, out of reach of the noisy world – some quaint-perched eyrie on the cliffs of Time, from whence the surging waves of the nineteenth century would sound far-off and faint.”
― Jerome K. Jerome, Three Men in a Boat
To everyone who takes the trouble to visit this blog, and even more to those who then pause a while and read – thank you. To the brave who have posted comments upon my ramblings and in so doing have shared their thoughts with a wider audience – many thanks.
Sara and I are taking a few days break; a short vacation. It is probably with my personal sanity in mind that Sara has banned me from the computer for this brief period. I will therefore cease posting on this blog for the next seven days. Hopefully this brief respite will afford many opportunities not only for rest and recuperation but also collecting my thoughts (If I can find them) for when I return. At which point I look forward to renewing the dialogue.
