Scratch – Can you help the Gruffalo and find the mouse!

We decided to make our activity in a cross-curricular theme with English and the book The Gruffalo and numeracy in terms of shapes. Therefore, we decided this activity would be more suitable to key stage 1. However, after careful consideration we thought this game could look at different co-ordinates that could aid children with their SAT exams.

We believe this game/activity will be beneficial to learning because it can enagage all students. We have focused on the different learning styles of kinaesthetic (pressing the first shape, moving), audio (listening to the speech), visual (looking at the different shapes).
