Suitable for: KS1

How to use:

Learning Benefits: Children can gain communication skills, learning computing vocabulary. They can also collaborate with other peers and discuss how and where they want the Beebot to move. Once the destination is achieved, the children will have a sense of pride and accomplishment. Furthermore, the children will gain a sense of direction. The activity can be used in all areas of the curriculum, including Maths; by using a range of measurements.

Taking it further: The activity can be taken further by taking the transition from the floor using concrete objects to on the screen using a computer. The children can then discuss the benefits and which one they preferred, but also gain a better understanding of this aspect of computing.
