Vine is a video blogging tool, but its 15 second recording limit makes it ideal (and simple) way to create short clips to include on NILE. This could be for instructors and students but the need to register (and access to an Apple, Android or Windows Mobile device) rules it out as a compulsory option.

Creations are usually made public (though you can just save the video to your device and upload it to Kaltura), but this could be an advantage in its own right when marketing or crowd sourcing is associated with the activity. Social networking features and simple analytics are a strong feature too. Vines can be embedded in NILE – just as the example below is.
