Staff need(s) the workshop will address

I want to take a more structured approach to planning so that session activities and pre/post-session tasks are meaningful and integrated into one blended experience for students.

I’d like some strategies for adapting my session/s when things don’t go to plan.

I’m interested in some new ideas for supporting active learning in my sessions.

I’m having problems engaging my students with my Pre-Session tasks. How can I adjust things to address this?

How the Workshop will contribute to Learning Practice

Through this you will:

  • plan meaningful learning activities for your sessions which are aligned with module learning outcomes and the pedagogical approach of active, blended learning.
  • explore a range of ‘typical’ challenges tutors can face in a session and consider how your plan/s could be adapted or supported so that learning stays on track.
  • find out what methods have been successfully used by others and share any techniques that have worked for you.
  • explore strategies for integrating in-session, pre-session and post-session activities to enhance student engagement.
