I’m Gillian Siddall – Academic Librarian supporting the Faculty of Health and Society. As an Academic Librarian, there are three main parts to my role: teaching, liaison and collection development. I teach information skills to staff, students and researchers to help them make the most of the resources we have. You may see me in a class, organised by your tutors, or you can book an appointment with me for help with literature searching and referencing. I also liaise with students and staff to help make sure that you are aware of developments within Library and Learning Services and to ensure the support we offer matches the ranges of requirements from the Faculty of Health and Society. I am also responsible for managing the Library budget for the Faculty, so I manage and buy resources such as books, databases and electronic resources to add to our collections.
If you have a quick question you can email: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to book an appointment, you can do so at the Library Help Desk or online at the website.
