We have been able to recruit an extra seven members of the summer camp team and now have 21 UoN students participating as activity leaders. Two of the new recruits are from the previous years cohort (2017), Anna from ITT and Rebekka from BASENI. They will be invaluable members of the team and will help support the other 19 students. We have also appointed three camp directors, giving these young people an opportunity to develop their leadership and mediation skills between the Hong Kong organisers, teachers and UoN students.
Whilst there has not be a lot of activity in terms of training for this years summer camp as yet, we have been collating all the necessary documentation needed for our students to go to Hong Kong. This has been a mammoth task as most have been on teaching placement, however, everything will go to the organisers this week.
Our project training sessions will begin on May 15th. Students will be introduced to how to develop their planning for active blended learning and activity theory in order to develop the resources bank
