Our final coverage of Heyford Reserves sees them take a trip to 12th placed Woodford reserves, in their 12th fixture of the campaign.
The match should it go ahead, will be Heyford’s first match in 14 days after their fixture with Blisworth was postponed last week due to adverse weather. Liam-Bailey-shaw’s side will be hoping for better luck with the Woodford reserves side compared to the first as they were thrashed 8-2 by the first team side last month.
Manager Liam-Bailey-Shaw hopes the mini-break will serve his side well heading into the festive fixtures, he said ” Of course last week was disappointing not having the chance to build from our improved display against Kettering Orchard, which in the end we did lose, and I’m mindful we need to pick up points and fast”.
“We’re up against a good side we know all about their first team, and I imagine their reserve side will be similar in terms of their philosophy and style of play, so prepare well, and hopefully the boys come with the right mindset ready and prepared to do what it takes to win”.
The match is a 2pm kick-off at Woodford C&S.
