Weldon United Reserves – November 18th 2023

Matchday 11 in the Northants combination football league as Heyford hosts Weldon United again this weekend.

Heyford will be looking to pick up their first win this weekend in the league and get some revenge on Weldon after losing horribly to them 9-1 in the Division Two Cup this past weekend.

Bailey-Shaw Heyford’s manager had some words to say about the upcoming game, “we were not smart enough last week, so this week we will be doing a more mental training session than physical to try and change the result”.

Heyford currently sits bottom of the League Two division on two points from nine games with a -27 goal difference compared to Weldon who currently sits 12th in the league on eight points.

Heyford will be without keeper Paul Anderson again after he picked up another injury at half-time in Saturday’s game so who will step up for Heyford again in between the sticks?

So the big question for Bailey-Shaw’s men is whether they will finally get that first win of the season or will it be another defeat to add to the record kick-off is at 3 pm at the Heyford ground.
