The Captain of Heyford Athletic Reserves Will Dunkley leaves the club after “embarrassing” team performance last weekend.
This comes after the reserves lost 5-0 at home to Woodford Wolves First on Saturday afternoon.
“Will is a fantastic player and of course we don’t want to lose him, we understand his frustration but if he does not want to stay then we cannot force him to,
“I have seen him play both on a Saturday and a Sunday and he definitely plays better on a Sunday with Hawks.” Says Sam O’Sullivan Barker.
The club will now look for a new captain and is expected to be announced before the game next weekend.
