1. CIWM webinar on fire safety at waste sites

This webinar will provide attendees with an update on several developments related to fire safety on waste sites.  An introduction to the new guidance from WISH, an insight into the development of Fire Prevention Plan templates from the Wood Recyclers Association and an overview of the CIWM’s new fire safety on waste sites course.  The webinar is open to both CIWM members and non-members.

2. Making energy clean, affordable and secure: apply for funding

The Energy Catalyst has up to £13 million to support innovative market-focused projects in the energy sector both in the UK and in developing countries. Businesses can apply for a share of £13 million for innovative projects that address the issues of cost, emissions and security of supply.

4. The Group’s 2017 conference

The Group’s 2017 conference will be held on Thursday October 5, at the Northampton Town’s football ground in Sixfields, Northampton. The event will focus on the sustainable management of food waste from the healthcare and hospitality sectors. 5. ISWA waste-to-energy study tour (June 18 – 23)

The technical tour combines site visits to 10 different plants and facilities in operation in Alpine Germany and Austria with accompanying special seminars.
