This parliamentary seminar is co-hosted with the All-Party Parliamentary Health Group (APHG) and will explore issues around healthcare and medicines waste. In 2013, the NHS spent over £86million on the disposal of clinical waste and alongside NHS targets to half its carbon footprint by 2015, recycling rates are up by 26% since 2007/08. In light of these figures, this event will seek to examine the opportunities for efficiency savings through waste reduction in the NHS
This event will be chaired by Neil Carmichael MP.
