What is the focus?
A level 6 assignment has required student groups to create an advertising pitch to a real world company for several years. The teaching staff and Learning Development tutor have seen similar issues arise during the group work process for each intake in terms of communication, negotiation and team building. It is anticipated that the use of technology may help to address at least some of these.
This project plans to establish through research how students use technology to facilitate collaborative groupwork. Working with a group of 3rd year students we will share key academic strategies for working as a team. We will collaborate with the group throughout their assignment them to create an advertising campaign to promote good group working practice through the use of online tools.
