Government advice on ‘Reducing teacher workload’ 24th Feb 2017

Since 2014 the Government has been consulting on and working to remove unnecessary workload for teachers. The 2016 survey published on 24th February 2017  has told them that the 3 biggest areas of concern are marking, planning and data management. This has led to the development of 3 associated working groups and the publication of an  action plan with a full update of work and future commitments to help reduce teacher workload .

Additional resources developed with Ofsted and unions are a poster and pamphlet that can be downloaded from the site or links below and shared with colleagues, both teachers and HLTAs.
