Project Progress

This is an update on what has been achieved so far against the project plan and intended deliverables as promised in the project bid.

  • A mini module in place to support students’ critical thinking, reading and writing skills – Yes. It has been delivered between November and December
  • A teaching resource bank structured on object-based learning (special collection artefacts) to share with UoN staff – Ongoing, a set of objects resource boxes have been built.
  • Expanded understanding of learning through exploration of object-based learning approaches to support PGRs’ critical thinking development – Ongoing.
  • Journal articles and conference presentations on themes of object-based learning for PGRs across different disciplines, developing critical thinking skills – A proposal has been accepted for the ALDinHE 2020: The Learning Development Conference at the University of Northampton on 6th, 7th and 8th April 2020.

Opportunities for staff collaboration – Yes. It has provided collaboration opportunities for academic staff and colleagues from the Archive team.
