On 19th April 2018, CEEC held a ‘Doing Business in China’ event on the topic of ‘New Energy Vehicle Technology Development in China and the opportunities for the UK’. The keynote speaker was Dr Jun Qiao, the chief engineer of Changan UK R&D Centre Limited.
Other panel members included Nick Carpenter, the engineering director of Delta Motorsport; David Gregory, China adviser of China-Britain Business Council; Brigid Hodgkinson, international trade manager of Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce.
Changan, founded in 1862, is one of the most valuable brand within the Chinese automotive industry. Dr Jun Qiao provided his insights in relation to Political, Economic, Social, Technical, Industrial, and Marketable environment of the new energy vehicle development in China, as well as the opportunities for the UK automotive research and development. All the speakers discussed their thoughts on China-Britain business opportunities.
