In this session we looked at using recycles materials to make instruments. This really engaged me as this is a great use junk modelling to create something that can be used as a musical instrument… whilst working on fine motor skills and being fun!

Below is a picture of all of the instruments we tried

This is a shaker which children seem to really enjoy. We had a go at making them in my class using small beads, two yoghurt pots and some sellotape. So simple and the children really enjoyed working towards a end result which they could then use in a different activity.

this was my favourite musical instrument and I would enjoy trying different materials to try to make different sounds such as; shells, bottle tops, little yoghurt pots or anything I come across really!!
