ICT and Art
ICT and Art
Today’s art session focused on the exploration of art through the use of new technologies, such as IPad’s, Notebooks, Digital Camera’s etc. It was a really useful session, and showed us how we could embrace the use of this equipment in art education and gave us examples of how we could achieve this in a classroom setting. Nowadays, ICT is prominent and is embedded in all areas of the primary curriculum, accessibility to new technology is increasing and by experimenting with a variety of ICT equipment teacher’s can learn from, embrace and can gain confidence in using these new technologies to aid art practice in schools. I look forward to implementing this technology into my future classroom.

I am in agreement that once teacher’s are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and experience of using ICT confidently, they can implement other technological practices in their lessons to encourage children to incorporate art in their ICT lessons. This will ensure that children are experimenting using different technologies to create art. I think its exciting to be able to create art using technology besides the normal paint and brush method. In addition, it gives children the experience of limitless possibilities of using technology now and in the future. This build every child’s confidence in using technology within the classroom.
