Advice/Feedback on Design Concept – Roshni Khatri, Occupational Health

Roshni Khatri is an Occupational Health lecturer at the University of Northampton. She was able to provide insights into what I should focus on with regards to the ergonomics of the design. The main premise of this design and project is ergonomics and providing health benefits for those who use this design.

The key points raised were as follows –

  • The back section should be lower and away from the neck. Any weight on the neck causes fatigue in this area.
  • Electrics could affect those with pacemakers – this area needs investigating.

With regards to the final design proposal, the configuration of the back section was changed to meet this advice.
